The Personal Health Assessment (PHA) is an online health survey that employees access through the BENEFITFOCUS® Platform. It gives employees a confidential health analysis that encourages them to adopt healthier lifestyles. You can chose to integrate a participation-based rewards system or engage employees in a healthy competition. The PHA can serve as a valuable resource for promoting health and wellness throughout your organization.
Educate and Engage Employees
The PHA application is designed to educate employees about their health risks and engage them in making healthy decisions. It consists of two parts: a health questionnaire and a biometric screening. Employees access the PHA easily through the Platform, which enables them to complete the questionnaire confidentially and at their own pace. Employers can choose to input the biometrics data separately or allow employees to self-report the results of their screening.
Employers can offer financial rewards for completing the PHA questionnaire or biometric screening – or both. It will integrate with the Platform and update the employee’s paycheck when applicable.
Provide a Customized Wellness Experience
Employers can customize the PHA to reflect their branding by integrating their logo and color scheme. The PHA allows them to customize the questions they want to ask in the questionnaire, and they can also modify the Biometric Screening Data Form.
Each employee receives a personalized report called the “Personal Health Profile” based on their PHA answers, Biometric screening results, or a combination of both. Each report provides a detailed analysis of the individual’s health complete with videos and personalized recommendations for better health and lowered health risks.
Utilize Comprehensive Reporting Capabilities
Custom reports can be generated for employers that include aggregate data by employee category. These reports maintain confidentiality for individual employees, but allow employers to see overall health trends, risks and issues for their workforce.
Data is proactively updated and integrated among the PHA, Benefitfocus Platform and your payroll system, allowing for easy implementation of a rewards program based upon employee participation. For example, if an employer identifies a trend in high cholesterol or obesity, they can immediately begin to shape their wellness initiatives accordingly.
