What does Benefitfocus do?

Benefitfocus provides employers, health carriers and consumers a single Web-based platform for benefit shopping, enrollment, management and industry standard data exchange. When was the Company founded?

Benefitfocus was founded on June 5, 2000, by Shawn Jenkins, the Company’s president and chief executive officer, and Mason Holland, chairman of the board.




Who “owns” Benefitfocus?

Benefitfocus is a privately-held company and is led by two primary stakeholders, Shawn Jenkins, president and chief executive officer, and Mason Holland, chairman of the board.




How many associates do you have?

Benefitfocus currently has more than 500 associates. Our associates work in a variety of areas including research and development, operations, sales and administration.




How many locations do you have?

The Benefitfocus corporate headquarters includes two buildings located in Charleston, S.C., on a new, state-of-the-art campus. The Company also has a secondary corporate office located in Greenville, S.C., with satellite locations across the country, including: San Francisco, Calif.; Denver, Col.; Washington, D.C.; Tampa, Fla.; Atlanta, Ga.; Chicago, Ill.; Boston, Mass.; Detroit, Mich.; Kansas City, Mo.; Charlotte, N.C.; New York, N.Y.; and Tulsa, Okla.

Are logos and photos of Benefitfocus and Benefitfocus’ products available?

Benefitfocus maintains trademarks for all of its products. Logos, videos and/or photos of Benefitfocus and Benefitfocus products are available upon request, and after it is determined that the use of such media will not compromise the Company in any way.




I am a television producer and would like to obtain B-roll footage featuring your company. How do I do this?

Benefitfocus maintains B-roll footage, which can be made available upon request. Should you require footage the Company does not have readily available, a site visit can be arranged to shoot such media.
